On Sunday the 6th of June, in the upstairs at Newton PIPC, the youth of PIPC were led, entertained and ministered by Team Xtreme. In amongst bending metal bars, human tug of wars, breaking of bricks and slabs of concrete we were given testimonials by the team of three physically and spiritually strong men. Their testimonies shared of different backgrounds, but were brought together by the common fact that their lives were transformed and made useful through Jesus Christ. Most of the youth present would have found the stories in the Bible they referred to familiar, especially that of the commissioning of Christ's disciples to move out to the ends of the earth, Christ reassuring them and us that he is will be with us. These very truths we are studying as part of our preparation for the upcoming Scripture Union exams. See how God brings things together?! What better than to see these very scriptures brought to life in what we heard and witnessed during the Team Xtreme's evening with us.
Following this we were led by the youth of Mangere PIPC. They now have two dance troops who compete in the annual 'Stomp competition'. They were fantastic!! We hope to get footage soon of their performances to share with you here.
